Norwegian Cruise Line is committed to raising the bar on what can be
expected from at-sea entertainment. We can and do deliver A-list
productions with amazing directors like Rachelle Rak, Patti Wilcox,
and Tiger Martina, with competitive salaries and professional working
environments (and of course, the bonus of cruising to some of the
world’s most beautiful destinations!). It’s an exciting time to become
a part of the Norwegian family.
The Norwegian Getaway is Norwegian Cruise Line’s latest ship! In
addition to a brand-new production of LEGALLY BLONDE, entertainment on
the ship will include ILLUSIONARIUM, a dining/entertainment experience
devoted to magic and illusion, a water park with five slides,
including a freefall drop, two twister slides, and a multi-level
elevated ropes course, and a Grammy-themed venue as part of NCL’s
partnership with the Grammy Awards. Foodies setting sail can feast in
their choice of 26 incredible dining options, including one of
Celebrity Chef and Food Network star Geoffrey Zakarian’s three dining
concepts: Ocean Blue by Geoffrey Zakarian; Ocean Blue on the
Waterfront and The Raw Bar. The end of each cruise will be marked by a
fireworks display at sea. Ports of call on this fantastic new vessel
include: Phillipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands;
and Nassau, Bahamas.
SYNOPSIS: Come and witness the magical mysteries of the Illusionarium.
Built in the late 1800s by the brilliant Professor Vernon Royce, the
Illusionarium and its mesmerizing design is a place of amazement and
wonder. Once inside, you’ll enjoy a remarkable entertainment and
dining experience while you’re transported to a fantasy world like no
other. Along the way, you’ll meet a cast of interesting characters and
witness world-class magicians, illusionists and mentalists making this
a memorable – and magical – experience for all.
PROFESSOR VERNON ROYCE: 30-55 year old male. 5’8-6’1, Slim to medium
build. An aristocrat from the 1860′s, he has a brilliant mind. He is an
inventor, an innovator, a man far ahead of his time. A bit eccentric and befuddled. He can be both charming and mysterious at times. He is the creator of the Illusionarium, and the guardian of the ancient secret art of Magic. British/Aristocrat accent a plus.
GEOFFREY ROYCE: 28-35 year old male. Hails from the Royce blood line, but sadly missed out on the philosophy, innovation, and philanthropy of his ancestors and has grown up as a product of the “me first” generation. He thinks the world revolves around him, and has no use for any thing, or anyone, that doesn’t directly benefit him. Must have great comic timing.
THE ASTRAL GODDESS: 23-35 year old female. 5’4-5’9 and slender, must be beautiful with a lean silhouette. A stunning, celestial being that transcends the material world and the boundaries of gravity. She is the physical manifestation of joy and light. She is a positive change agent. Does not need to dance but must have a sense of movement.
